You don't want the HDL spade metal between your wire and your speaker terminal, as that
would introduce four more dissimilar metal junctions in the signal path.I've built my crossovers with barrel terminal blocks, so that I can clamp the wires together
directly and avoid any junctions, even those involving soldered or crimped connections to
spades or banana plugs.
