In your network with the 0.39uF capacitor, what value did you select for R? I am using C = .01uF
and R = 10 ohms, with the results noted. The Walker product works superbly well with very high
quality R and C (don't know exactly what parts he uses, however, except R is probably a "nude"
Vishay). Credit also should be given to the Merlin speaker company. They supply a couple of
optional networks for use at the input to their speakers which probably predate the HDL in the
marketplace; I believe one version uses R = 10 ohms and the other uses R = 100 ohms, don't
know what values of C are used, but probably lower than your optimal 0.39uF. Both Lloyd and I
think our Ralph have used or do use Merlin speakers in home systems. I have thought about
increasing the value of C (to maybe 0.1uF) for even better results but have been pre-occupied
with other upgrades lately. Steve, what have you got to lose? Give it a try.
