Ralph,That's what I was trying to say here:
"You probably know that you can remove pairs of the 6AS7s from Atma-sphere amps for decreased power. I wonder what Trios or similar would sound like with only one or two tubes per side?"
So the tubes require a shorting plug, not just simple removal? Sounds like a great idea to me.
