If anyone still cares, I re-read the string, and I now realize that I was correct the first time; you ARE asking $175 per pair of the black-base 6SN7Ws, not $175 for TWO pairs. Al babe, you have a perfect right to ask whatever you want, but I believe that price will alienate most people, as you have already seen it did do. A better "rule of thumb" is to cut your losses. If you have overpaid and truly don't want the tubes even as spares, then you are probably better off asking a LOWER price than the one you paid, a price that is more nearly in keeping with the current market. Bite the bullet, guy.
