If considering a new La Scala at $13000+ per pair, I'd suggest looking locally for a pair of old Peavey FH1, maybe $69 PRV 2" D2200PH phenolic driver and $50 2 inch throat horn for midrange - $50 PRV tweeter.
Peavey FH1 were made of decent plywood and well braced.
Make simple Klipsch type ! or AA crossovers - the autoformers (Crites) might be pricey now due to inflation. If using a hard sounding solid state amp then vintage Soviet PIO capacitors would be nice. (just using L-pads should work fine - omit the autoformers)
You would save over $12,000 - have cabinets which are more durable than MDF used in the current La Scala (- ever see MDF get wet?)
Older Klipsch Heresy could be converted into ClaudeJ's brilliant Super Heresy
$13K seems like a lotta money for a heavy crappy MDF horn with a 110Hz 1/4 wave path.
