RE: Thermal Distortion Paper

Indeed, my friend the HEADROOM!
I feel comfortable in knowing I can hit 120 db peaks with my modified Twin Class D Hypex NC-400's. I removed the instrumentation buffer amp in the front end, dropping the gain by 12 db or (improving the THD+N) to optimize my entire gain structure, while never clipping when driving my speakers to 95-100 db C-weighted (too damn loud). However is IMPRESSIVE.

What is clear is what they hears as "amazing LIFELIKE" as the musician in the room with us, even it they don't understand the "why." Which I gladly explain in my own way with the demo.

I mean it when I say you create "Miniature" Horn speakers when an individual actually sees, hears and measures what horns do so well.

I have owned pretty much all the the large ones from the last millennium at one time or another (Altec VOT, jbl, Klipsch Pro, EV, etc. The phrase that Paul Klipsch stole from an old Packard Ad: "Ask the man who owns one," still applies.

Thanks, and Keep up the good work as we all appreciate the Truths shared here, as you have discovered in your Audio Journeys!
