The Duos sport active (i.e. self-amplified) bass systems, meaning the amplifier you need to provide merely powers the 104dB+ horns (the Omegas gained in sensitivity, the older Duos I owned were around 103dB). Gain matching is achieved with the controls on the subwoofer section, as is the low-pass frequency to determine where exactly the woofers cross in.
Your concern for the horns, if you go tubes, is ultra-low noise. Amps known to work well are Audiopax Model 88s, Art Audio PX-25 with the low-gain mod, Wyetech Labs Sapphires set to medium gain and Graham Tricker's Tron electronics. Other Duo owners will undoubtedly add to this list.
Cheers.
