I am a Klipsch fan. All speakers have their strengths and weaknesses. It becomes a game of trade-offs. What a Khorn, or LaScala, or Belle, or Conrwall do better than any other speaker I have tried is make you feel like the musician is in the room with you.
I use a Mac C2200 pre and MC240 mk iv amp with Belles with an ALK x-over, and am very happy.
Over the years I have tried other speakers but keep coming back to the Klipsch house sound. Fwiw, Altec 19s also hit my sweet spot, but even I have a problem with their looks, whereas my Belles are beautiful, imho.
