Nice review Frank, thanks for posting it here. While I have not heard the T1, I agree 100% with your comments about the HE 500. I am amazed every time I listen to a CD or LP through the HE-500's. I hear things that I never heard/experienced before through my speakers or through my HD 600 phones. Hifiman definitely has a winner. At first when I ordered the headphones, I thought $700 was a lot of $$$ but after living with them for a month now, it was well worth every penny.
