alright then, the yellow Senn pads were too thin and allowed the rigid structures beneath the pad to encroach upon my comfort. BACK to the stock pads and being denser and slightly cone-shaped in the concavity down to the drivers, the bass is better defined and seemed to go deeper on Hippo.
the big appreciative difference in comfort assures me that i will never put the Sennheiser pads back on. the Senn pads are WONDERFUL on the SR60s, the original pads were uncomfortable so when the yellow pads had been obtained from the Burbank CA corporate office for a song replaced them they transformed the 60s into a pleasant companion.
