I'm glad to give it some time and listening. And to hear what those who can compare the MQA version to native high res versions have to say as well.
I wouldn't expect the difference to be obvious in every case, but in some cases anyway, there was a glaringly obvious improvement.
From what I know, much of the engineering behind it is sound, but other aspects raise alarms, e.g., the loss of bit depth. The analog noise floor isn't what matters here -- it's well established that we can hear a correlated signal below the noise floor. On the other hand, few if any commercial recordings take advantage of a full 24-bit dynamic range.
In any case, I don't understand the hysteria that MQA has elicited. If it improves the sound overall, I'm all for it. And only listening can tell us that.
