I remember cutting the grapes with a curved knife for a while before sitting down for the picnic lunch we brought with all the free wine (no wonder it became popular).
I've always been a fan of zinfandels and Ridge has made some excellent ones over the years.
Last year I took my wine tasting group back to Ridge for a tasting and we were very disappointed - $30 each for a tasting of 4 wines which didn't apply to a purchase.
The server said one of his favorites and what he thought was their best value was a blend called Three Valleys, but he wouldn't open one for us to taste even though we probably all would have bought some.
So if your parable is about uncaring big corporations changing small boutique businesses, you should be providing case studies for business schools :-)
