And for the ads to quote the words of the reviewers whose salaries are paid for by the ads? Of course this is common practice and we know about the Wall between advertising and editorial. Still, the circle just doesn't seem to get unbroken in quite the right way. And Robert Harley's defense in the current AS of longterm equipment loans may do a good job of defending them, but sure makes perfectly clear (not his intention I don't think) how important reviewers opinions (whether expressed in reviews, or in their monthly list of equipment they themselves are using) are to the mfgs.
