Sounds like you are looking for a significant upgrade to your 2.1 Level B dac, including a complete circuit change, not just a parts upgrade. My guess is that considerable thought and experience went into the design of the stock 6DJ8 circuit. If you have already done most of the possible parts upgrades (resistors, caps and wire), then a sure performance upgrade would be to replace the entire stock circuit and use cascaded 5687's with transformer coupled outputs: i.e., Level C. Unless you just want to do something different (or DIY) or less costly this is surely an option worth considering: a well engineered, reliable, proven circuit designed as an upgrade specifically for this DAC and that is known to provide a significant sonic improvement.
