From an AD1865 to an AD1865N chip: what would that involve, other than switching the chip? Both are 24bit/96kHz devices. The AD1865 comes in the Dac 1.1x /II Sig and the AD1865N is in the Dac 2.1x and 3.1x, possibly higher. I have copied the link to the data sheet of both. Humm...as i look at the data sheet, there appears to be no plain 1865, just versions N, N-J, R and R-J. My chip (Dac 1.1x /II Sig) just says AD1865 on the outside and I was taking the AD1865 to AD1865N conversion off of AN's home page, so I guess there#s some lack of clarity as to which Dacs have which Dac chips. Maybe you know. I want to upgrade the Dac chip, as I figure there are some big sonic gains to be had.
