if the rushing noise is in one channel it is not so likely to be the power supply as that is common to both channels - have you tried swapping the analogue board tubes from one channel to the other if you do does the rushing noise swap channels ? are you sure it is the pre amp try the same with the power amp. I had a tube rushing noise that was a duff tube in one channel of the analogue stage of my DAC2.1.
