I thought I'd report back in, though you may have seen my review thread: in my large room, a 45 does not cut it on the HE AN/Es. Close - and the 2A3 is closer still! - but not quite a cigar. Such a shame, because these tubes are soo nice.

I have them in the corners, but my room is quite large, with vaulted ceiling. I don't listen too loudly - 90 dB peaks at most - but they can't quite get there. Well, on *some* music they can, but not on more complex fare.

I have a 5W PX-4 Kurashima amp coming I have high hopes for. If it doesn't cut it - keep the 211s (which are still quite nice) or a 300B or parallel 2A3 (like the AN kit).

Did you really think the AN parallel 300B was in the same league as the Yamamoto 45? That's sayin' a lot!!
