On the L3 I used some more silverwire,removed the balance pot,tantalum stepped volume pot and experiment with tubes.
I haven't compared L2 and L3 side by side,so you must take what I write with a spoon of salt.I owned the pre-amp kit 7-8 years ago,and have never heard the L2 as it is today.
I'm quite sure the L3 is a better preamplifier as in more natural resolving.

Try to get some more opinions before you decide anything,since I haven't compared them side by side.

At the time I had the L3, I had the AN speaker kit 04 and interstage monoblocks,paralell 300B with iHiB C-core transformers.
