i beleive you can tune the voltage output by using different size small caps before the first choke and still get most of the benefit of a choke input

choke input is much more demanding on the first choke - check it is up to the job

i have been thinking about trying a regulator where the 2k2 resistors are. has anyone tryed this ? might be a cheaper/simpler/smaller way to get the benefit of a separate ps ?
