mine was running at 495V and i used a 300 ohm resistor
i used wkz to replace the two caps that stick up out of the chassis. there was an immeadiate improvement unlike using other types of blackgate for cathode bypass, etc which sound bad to start with. possibly still getting better as well. the music just worked better for me.
try bypassing these caps with a small film cap to see if you get an improvement you like. its a cheap experiment
