monoblock filament supplies

i've noticed that there is no capacitor accross the output from the filament supplies so any contribution from the regulator is not filtered before it reaches the 300B cathode which is directly in the signal path. there was a 100uF cap there in the kit one. don't know if there is a particular reason for this not being present in the monos ? there is space on the mono filament board for another small cap which isn't used but that would have gone between the voltage reference output of the reg and 0v rather than accross the output to the valve filaments
so i wondered if anybody had tryed putting a good cap in here (100uF 6.3v BG Nx prehaps) (also cheaper and more effective than upgrading the 4700uF caps before the reg).
i'll be trying this the next time i order some bits

i'm also thinking of changing the bridge rectifiers to schottky diodes. as well as quietening the fiament supplies i've heard people say normal diodes can inject rf (high frequency noise) back into the mains transformer so it can effect the HT supply as well. anyone tryed this on monos, kit 1, preamps, etc ?
