I assume you're using the standard 900 ohm cathode resistor in the schematics. The 50uF or so reduction in by-pass cap will have minimal impact. The voltage there should be in vicinity of 75-80v, so 150v up should be very safe. Now if you were to alter bias ... that would be a different story. IME, you'd have better result by-passing that 220uF/200v WK with a small polyprop - Hovlands come to mind, or Audio Note's copper foils. Say 0.02uF. Enjoy the weekend...
