I have never tried the silver&gold, however most prefer the silver &oils.They really brings out the midrange magic in my Maggies and add some nice airy extention to the top end.
The ANs were ok, just a tad too warm. Also the ones I got looked kind of old, the casing was tarnished and there was no clear heatshink on them like the newer ones. So I was kind of concerned about their reliability.
