I instaled two Mundorfs .1uf silver in oil caps in my M3 Sig. last night, after burning them in for three days in my HT speakers and two days on a cap cooker that I built. I should probably leave them on the burner a few more days, but I couldn't wait.I already have Mundorfs in all my speaker crossovers so I knew they were great, but I had never heard them in a amp or preamp.
Well they are a very nice improvement so far. The have evened out things nicely.
The bass has tightened up and lost its boominess, the midrange is more transparent and clean, and the treble is more detailed and airy.
I think they will even get better with more time.I also have a set waiting to go in the power supply, which I will probably do this weekend.
