Were Snell the ones that told you to buy new drivers? That's why I bought new drivers for my EII's, a few years ago.

Kind of a tough choice. You can either re-foam the drivers you already have, have Snell send you new (different) drivers and a new choke or whatever, or maybe AN can sell you a pair of their drivers/crossover parts. My take on it is, the foam surrounds go bad. It's inevitable. If I were you, I'd spend fifty or sixty bucks and have the surrounds replaced by someone like Layne Audio or Miller Sound. My understanding is, the spider has more impact on the sound than the foam. That would seem to me to be closer to your original speaker than getting either a new, different driver from Snell or possibly a driver with a rubber surround from AN. You could at least give it a whirl. My K's have been re-foamed, but they were like that when I bought them and so I can't comment on before/after differences.
