That is certainly a reasonable (and hopefully supported) use case. Just add a pinch of foundation to the mix. Agree should have the choice but the existing approach works for me with the smaller stats in the HT.
Full range but first octave excursion limits output level if not high passed for the bottom two. They are blended with a pair of powered subs placed at room digonals to increase overall headroom.
Unnecessary upstairs. :)
