Certainly the Sparkos SS3601/2 has had very good reviews -- not that means a whole lot.I have ordered two VTV buffer board with the Sparkos SS3602 to replace HYpex boards on my Purifi amp. I bought mine with the Hypex board. Of course I'm disappointed to hear that you don't like the Sparkos.
I don't like the Hypex at all -- there is glare during loud passages on the top highs with brass instruments and also strings, etc.
I am prepared to do some opamp rolling. I ordered OPA1612's and I have some venerable OPA627's that I can try if only just for laughs.
NOT the 51st state, eh!?!
