Whether that JA quote is exactly correct or not, I'm not sure, but as "quoted" here by buf it is NOT false. Speakers with varying impedance curves will obviously vary in frequency response with increased power amplifier output impedance. That should be easily understood.Sure there are tube amps with much lower output impedance, as there are some SS amplifiers with higher output impedances. (A generalization that's obviously true.)
