A few quotes:"I thought my Clayton M300 Class A amps displayed better decay and note development, particularly in the high frequencies but also down into the mids resulting in a somewhat better sense of venue and space."
"Specifically, the speakers were easier to listen to. The TAD/TAD was very harsh and glaring. Not so with the Bel Canto."
"The mids and highs are a bit soft to my ears, with absolutely no hint of digital harshness.
Detail and articulation is slightly less than my tube amps."So here it goes: class D is still behind class A (or even AB) when it comes to microdetail and resolution in the upper part of the spectrum. I've listened to Jeff Rowland - not cheap by any budget - and still found them missing in those critical (I mean, critical for me) areas.
OTOH, I have nothing against switching power supplies, as long as HF rejection is properly engineered.
