I have a Class D Audio SDS-258 which I used for almost 3 years. My assessment: excellent transparency & detail, good air, very precise but slightly lean bass. Highs are grain-free but like some other class D's, they can be a bit shrill in case of recordings that are inherently too bright in the treble.I listen at moderate volumes so I might not be the best critic, however I never had a problem with insufficient power driving Magneplanar MG 1.6's.
Currently I'm using a Pass Labs X150.5 which is better in most respects but, hey, it's MSRP is 9x the CDA.
NOT the 51st state, eh!?!
