Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |
|
Hi all,
I had the volumes on my amp set relatively high, and the pre-amp has been at around -20 for comfortable listening. I never really thought about it much before, but recently I realized that I was attenuating the signal with the preamp and then amplifying it with the amp... well that seems like a silly thing to do!
Do you guys think having the amp turned down, and the preamp around 0, would be better?
Thanks :)
