RE: Has modifying Caps and inductors in Maggies a lost art in this forum?

I even floated the idea of Winding your OWN inductors. For the 1.6, my design is about 5% LESS DCR than stock, so won't effect frequency balance while being of 14 ga wire, which increases power handling of the stock iron core of 16ga.
One additional benefit? Fairly compact dimensions for an aircore while having the same number of winds per layer as number of layers.....a theoretical 'optimum' goal.
