That should be quite good to get you great sound!

At some point you may want it even better. That's when things could get a little complicated...but well worth the effort. The gang at the Digital Asylum, as you probably already know, can spin you dizzy around tons of aspects.

While you get to it, there is something relatively easy, which you may know by now. For any serious listening, I first start by stopping every single program and service that is not needed, including security (I also turn off the internet).

I do have to finish the optimized PC that will do nothing but music. In the meantime, the temporarily (on-demand) stripped down Win7 HTPC does very decently at 192/24 upsampling of wav/flacs using cPlay.
