A, I just got back from a long trip and the mind will not be fully clear until I take a very long nap.

Right off the top of my head, I see a partial possibility. It is based on the way I do things to attenuate the bottom bass signal on my MMG (while keeping the subwoofer off). It will only achieve a 1st order slope...but it may be enough in your case. (In my case, it also helped timings when I turn on the subwoofer, which is seldom.)

Filter the output signal to the Emotiva with a good cap or cap/res combo. The values will depend. My filter is really part of the low pass on the bi-amp and responds to the specifics of my power amp. You can test with cheap decent caps and upgrade when you clinch the right value combo.

Perhaps a few savvy inmates can refine this concept with you...while I recover.
