Why are you even using a center? Unless you have people sitting way off to the side, they generally make things sounds worse.

Anyway, auto EQ is known for producing somewhat unreliable and inconsistent results. For high quality audio reproduction, you need to be able to tweak whatever the processor does. They're also more reliably useful in the bass.
