Black plate, no vacuum. Asking $2K.
Follow Ups:
I have a SOTA Nova (vacuum platter) with the same arm and did have a Benz ACE mounted on it. If I tried to sell it and got 2 grand, I would be over the moon.
SOTA's are tough to value. Higher price if the wood base is exotic. There are lots of "Cosmos" upgrades under the hood that help the table's resale.
If the dustcover isn't cracked, that's a real plus.
I love mine. 30 years and still spinning. I have the same speakers as you.
That last time mine needed work I was able to ship just the part back to them for repair. I don't think one would have to ship the whole table unless you're not handy with tools, etc.
If you have problems with footfalls etc. I would get a spring suspension SOTA over any of the current single board with a motor and platform jobs that everybody seems to be selling (including SOTA's own models!).
Thanks, very helpful. Just got back from listening to the table. Oak plinth in great condition with dust cover that has some very minor cracking. Springs replaced and calibrated in 2024. Listened to several different records (mostly vintage pressings) through Rogue Audio amps and Dali speakers. Soundstage was not as broad or deep as I expected and the midrange was a bit muddy. I suspect that the cartridge may have more hours than claimed. I've decided to take a pass for the time being and to continue the search. Again, thanks for the info.
Interesting.
Lot of variables in play there. Too bad a "home audition" isn't in the cards. Table's not that much a fuss to take in the car to your house.
Good luck in your search!
Yeah, been thinking about that. May be suffering from analysis paralysis.
