Experiences With the Ikeda Tonearms?

Anyone have thoughts about the newest generation Ikeda arms? I am looking at the IT-345 CR-1 for my SOTA. I spoke with them and they say a reduced weight armband can be built to install this arm.

As I understand it the earlier Ikeda arms were a continuation and refinement of the Fidelity Research arms. Does this story still hold true for these new generation ones? It seems some people think the legendary 64S is a superior performer.

Any thoughts or experiences you have to share would be appreciated.

just looked it up, the rest of my content is me entertaining myself with no idea about any product specifics.
as for the arm under discussion, I like the style , the knife edge jeweled bearing is a solid advantage , and it certainly is a boutique build. all good . a jeweled bearing would probably get chipped over at my place , so not a design for me, plus I don't need a removable head shell. so I can skip any design with that slight sonic liability. I also remember that SME had a steel knife edge pivot design they removed from the market, after complaints of bearing chatter , if that matters

I don't pretend to be knowledgeable enough to be worth spit in a public discussion about tonearms , but most tone arms today are medium mass. I assume you have reasons for going heavy. I couldn't find much info, I barely found the knife edge info, but nothing about the lateral bearings or the wiring . there was some mention of carbon fiber in the arm tube but no details. looks very steam punk.
the rest is my hooked on hot air contribution.
my only thought is the obvious, that the internet is forever , and any review or opinion must be considered within the context of the times back when it was generated. A model T is still an excellent car, but things have moved on , what with all the paved roads and all.
I wish I knew more, as I am thinking about replacing the techno arm on my Michell table, even though I think it a great value , has solid design principles and features , , and was actually voiced by old man Michell to approximate the sound of an SME "V" arm on a gyro table, because that was the arm he used to finalize the sound of the Gyro table when he developed that product, perhaps thirty years before he did the arm, which is just a modified Rega 250, in my case. ( rega has now improved the arm casting)
origin live used to modify rega arms, than advanced to their own design, which would be pointless if they couldn't beat a modified Rega, even one with the benefit of synchronicity between table and arm. beating an SME "V" today would be an obsolete goal , product design, manufacturing and materials have advanced .
I particularly like that the unipivot designs, universally regarded as having the best sonic solution with a single contact point, but the lousiest mechanical solution, because they lack stability in heavily modulated grooves, are now being improved, with the blackbird design adding stability to a single contact design and origin live and others just using a second contact point to create stability.
I'm liking the origin live stuff because it would simply drop in, with no chance for technical errors.

  Not sure what knife edge bearings are about in this conversation. Fidelity Research does not use them. Perhaps you are thinking of SAEC?

    I was probably careless with the model number . I just tried to find the Ikeda home page for some information, but all I could find were retailers, with most regurgitating the same scant information.
    one site did mention ruby knife edge bearings in the Ikdea arm I was reading about , but implied they were for the horizontal travel , which I assumed was a mistake. I didn't see any reason to look up anything about fidelity research, since my interest is only in new tone arms I can buy. I'm not buying anything as critical as a tone arm used.
