so you can DIY..
I've made some for my Grundigs and Telefunkens
.
The trouble with doing nothing, is that you can't tell when you are finished.
I got some ebay DINS for my TR2060. They work for the phono and aux, but the tape hookup DINS need inputs and outputs on the same plug, which doesn't happen with the DINs I have ever found on eBay. They are 5-pin DINs, which I guess means one ground plus two inputs and two outputs.
I've bought the connectors and wired some of those for the terminals on the top of my Magnat Magnaspheres, but it was a job, because they are pretty tiny and very hard to make connections on those very closely spaced terminals. You have to be content with short lengths of very slim wire (about 22 gauge).
there is an adaptor for tape with 4 RCAs-female and one 5 pin din. Radio Shack used to sell them and that is where I got mine. It is not high end, but works well. The price was right as well.
Ebay should have tons of these.

enjoy it. i hope you find the DIN cables. Radio Shack came to mind first but i am not certain they carry them.

Tanberg used to make one that we sold with their equipment. I am curious why it does not matter if it is male or female. Can you elaborate?

I really did not understand your reply. The B&O Din is the same if that helps!
Dave
you can diy, as long as you have the pin outs for the DIN. There are different pin outs, depending on the number of pins.
I suspect it is a 5 pin set up. The jacks are cheap. You can alter some existing cables or make your own.
