looking to build a dim bulb tester, where can i buy a incadescent bulb?
Will 100w led work?
I am thinjibg led will not work....

The LED option may not work - depending upon your goals
LEDs operate between 1.5-2 VDC
so a 'dimmable LED bulb' has a Circuit in the base that can take the nominal output from a 120 VAC dimmer and make it vary to support the LED array (usually multiple individual LEDs wired in series)....
If you want a variable Power supply, Assuming Voltage, a Variac will work wonderfully, with good meters.
If you want to vary frequency...
You'll need a Variable Frequency Drive, and that will need to be sized for the load...
