I don't see how the fasteners can keep the panel from vibrating...

If you include an insulation in the cavity (and rock wool is supposed to be really good), it will prevent the sound from being transmitted through the framing studs and then to the opposite panel. Wish I would have known about this when we redid a room recently.

  Or...do the staggered 2x4 studs in wall.
