why the high PIV? Is it a tube circuit? The 1 amp rating on 2 replacements is low by 0.5a. Also you only need a 400vdc PIV according to the DF02M bridge rectifier rating.
If you want better rectifiers use some hexfreds if you can
Is this one of those 'this is so much better' mods? I'd look at the caps also.

Yes, thanks, I'll be doing capacitors as well. The mods to this CD transport are available as DIY kit form, or you can send the unit in to get it done. It's a company in Europe.
They build a bridge rectifier with axial diodes to replace the existing DF02M's. (pic)
In my case I picked the axial diode (edit: values that meet/exceed DF02M) pretty much because those were the only ones available from the suppliers a I order from time to time.
But maybe I should look at something more elaborate as you suggest. Though as mentioned earlier, space is limited.
Cheers!

Jonesy, I've got a 6000CDT as well and would like the name or link to the mods/supplier you are referring to. Thanks! John
Here's the link.
Cheers!

years ago I did the same thing on a player replacing the rectifiers with ultra fast ones. I can't really say there was any noticeable difference. The caps were all factory black gates.
I did however find a big difference in changing the opamp after the DA.
Cheers!
