I would agree with the suggestions to use Cree Schottky diodes due to my good experience with these parts. They do need to be over specified in my experience, 1.414 peak voltage calculations will not be sufficient. My power amp needed close to 3x to be long term reliable. I have also heard suggestions that only one diode be used in series on the output of rectifier circuits, which makes sense to me, but I have never tried that configuration.

For me Cree's - for me-can be a little too bright in certain spots.Hexfreds can be a good balance.
I read long ago 3x the PIV voltage is minimum for long term reliability. The 600 volt diodes are great in the 40 to 80 volt SS amp & receiver circuits.
I also read Cree Schottky do not like high temps. Hexfred is more tolerant. Anyways, I use 1/2 size TO-220 heat sinks on both in the main power supply. I guess high power 100 watt and higher amps with a single power supply for both channels should use full size TO-220 heatsinks if room exists. I know some high power amps use two transformers.
I also see current de-ratings for Schottky diodes at higher temperatures.
