Cool stuff and a good reference.

Just a little confused as to how a cap in a speaker crossover compares to a cap in the power supply of an amp and so forth.

I suppose I should read his website but aren't all his tests done via a pramp rig?

I would be interested to see relative pricing included and then plot score vs. price.

  I would say in general the price gets pricey real quick after 8. That is pretty much the sweet spot with the venerable Wima MPK10 setting the pace. There are a couple of other 8's that are cheap. I'm thinking the Solen SB tin foil for a project? Looking for an excellent mid priced .1 400v that is very natural sounding, doesn't lift the treble to exaggerate hiss on recordings, has deep bass, a forward midrange that will be a totally satisfying sublimation to be used in a headphone amp that I've been ignoring. Not too much to ask, I would say. Time to spend more time in near total escape. T456
