The seemingly underappreciated Vishay KP1830 is a tin foil capacitor. Tin foil caps get lots of respect out there in cap opinion land. They should best the 1837 for near sure, IMO and may beat the PIO if you can use them. They put my system into the listenable range without too much whining about flaws when I put them in a dac. Very clear and natural. Extremely good treble with very natural sounding cymbals without any exaggeration of hiss on recordings which was a problem with the previous cap that I think was a different Vishay. They did not lift the treble in a way that drives me crazy(er) which was a problem with the previous cap. Highly recommended. Very inexpensive if you can find them. As to naked being too expensive I have definitely come to that conclusion a long long time ago, much to my chagrin. T456

Thanks for the tip. You are using the 1830 as bypass, I'm assuming. I just checked eBay and it seems most of the 1830's are in the PF range. What value do you use? 0.01uf? 0.1uf?
They were used in a dac and likely not as bypass caps. There are some .01 and .015 Ero Vishay caps on ebay at 63V. There are some other .1uf ITW tin foil caps dirt cheap at 100v.Kind of a no brainer at the asking price. Looks like I'm going to have to get one of them to see what it does in my dac PS. The .01 Audio Cap PPT Thetas are not crazy expensive with high voltage available. There are other tin foils out there. I checked one from Turkey and it had 1830 printed on it. The 1830 is not AKA 1837 regardless of what the vendor says so if you order make dam sure they have 1830 stamped on them. Michael Samra is a fan of tin foil if you want to contact him. He has lots of listening experience specifically with tin foil and may have some he would let go. Just guessing. Lots of reviews of the PPT theta at parts express. The tin foil experience is said to be very natural and not bright. Tweaker hates bright, lifted, unnatural, extended and sparkly highs. Tweaker does not hear bright, lifted, extended, unnatural and sparkly highs the vast majority of the time when listening to live music.
