there is already a 2n3055 model in ltspice. On, and probably others, offer a spice model for the MJ14002. Run a simulation on the circuit to see what differences might be expected....Do you have the schematic???

I'm a taxi driver, not an electronics simulator. I have a bag of the MJ14002 devices. They should work. Same type of device as the 2N3055 used for the same purpose. Electronics train people say they will work. Tweaker

    The MJ14002 works fine as a replacement for the 2N3055 in the Trip lite PS. Just like at least three electronics trained people said it would or most likely would. Tweaker
