Has anyone directly compared the two for bypass caps. Someone said the 1837's were a little sterile?? So like and some hate the Wima's. Tweaker

Replacing the leads with better wire and finds them to be very good.
I have not tried them.

These are the smallest and best sounding Wima caps. See here for pics: http://tweakaudio.com/EVS-2/Modded_Wima_Caps.html
These small Wima caps are available up to 250V rating....not for most tube gear.
I like the Wimas better than the 1837s which to me sound a little upper midrangy....slightly zippy.
Ric, The MKP 10 caps are metalized on both sides and come in .1 at least as low as 250v. Do you not use these as .1 bypass caps because of their size? Do you have experience with both the MKP2 and the 10? Thanks, Tweaker
Ric, Would you say that the MKP2 improves high quality electrolytics all or most of the time and last but not least do they lift the treble like I remember some, likely smaller value caps than .1, and exaggerate hiss that exists, much to my shagrin on so many cd's? Been a long time since I've done this. Thanks, Tweaker
Thanks for the input Ric, zippy is very likely something I would like to avoid. Tweaker
out of all the bypass caps I have tried the russian teflon caps sounded the best, but you have to mod them by removing the meddle cover and replacing the leads with silver occ or copper occ wire, what dramatic improvement.they do take some time to break in,try .01-.1 uf k72n-6 etc caps you won't regret it.
