that plug in to the amp inputs and roll off the bass to the satellite speakers. They were commonly sold with M&K satellite/sub systems. They came in A, B, and C versions which represented different x-over frequencies which I can't recall at this time.

...... as I had those very same Volksfilters for a subwoofer I had way back when (which wasn't an M&K, BTW), but I bought the M&K filters anyway because they were apparently effective, relatively cheap and matched up with my amp quite well (a highly modified Eagle 7A from Electron Kinetics.) They definitely helped out.
(Vandersteen also had a nice little hi-pass RCA plug-in filter for their subwoofers that looked quite nice and worked quite well. Later, after using the M&K plugs for a few years, I bought a Vandersteen sub and the Vandersteen hi-pass RCA plugs were much better sounding than the M&K Volksfilters.)
Sadly, though, I am getting older and I cannot recall which input impedance range the "B" filter was used with. (Brain farts are a regular occurrence with me, as I age.) But if I can find any invoices, papers or literature on the subject (or miraculously have a brain resurgence), I'll provide what I find, for sure.
Maybe 'Ping' Uncle Stu. He's rather encyclopaedic about all things audio. If anyone will remember, he might.
Good luck!
Hi.
Not sure, but they could be subsonic filters.
Take care....old guy
