I am all for better parts, but I am wondering what sonic problem you have identified with this DAC or system and how you have arrived at the conclusion changing the IEC plug will help with this problem?Just IME, changing to a "better" part can often lead to a different sound, but sometimes different is not necessarily better (for your system), not to mention voiding manufacturer warranty. I usually start with swapping cables, power cords, footers, tweaks that don't void warranty first.

The Furman REF20i had a 20 amp type IEC. I swapped it with a 15 amp Furutech which had 10 gauge screw down terminals. worked perfect for the 10 gauge wires inside. So I could use a Pangea AC9 powercord.
I've never upgraded a stock IEC without improvement worth its time and cost.
I've also posted that a good power cord right to the transformer primary makes a huge difference too. There are "risks" involved with this but what an improvement.

Why, indeed.
Why not pick an excellent power cord and hard solder it to the device? The best IEC is no IEC, IMO.

If an AC outlet can provide remarkable benefits, then why not an IEC inlet at the other end of a power cord. Oyaide's Power Inlet R (platinum + palladium plated phosphor bronze contacts) IEC inlets when implemented for a number of my audio components provide individual and cumulative sonic benefits, especially when mated with an Oyaide C-004 Beryllium IEC connector. Otherwise, gold Furutech IEC inlets provide notable synergy when implemented for use with other components in my audio systems. Implementing the Auricap Tweak for digital applications should involve an Audio Grade IEC inlet in the project in order to provide maximum sonic benefits, including targeted custom system tuning efforts.
