I asked about deuterium, not tritium. I don't want to encourage you to become radioactive. But if I were so inclined, I would go for polonium-210.

tritium is commonly used for scopes with that green glow. It excites the phosphors in the scope tube although they are using alternatives these days.
Polonium is far more deadly.
Meant tritium.....
