It looks interesting.Where can I get it cheapest to try?
Diversity of opinions on any one technical subject, almost always causes confusion for the listener.

The product does not appear to be counterfeit, but the seller is disingenuous by describing it as NOS Western Electric wire. By reading the information tags and the printed lettering on the insulation, it's obviously a modern product made by Lucent Technologies/American Insulated Wire Corp. Furthermore, while some folks may like the sound of varnished cloth insulated 10 AWG stranded wire, the fact that the wire is tin plated won't likely please typical audiophiles. Otherwise, it would seem to be a valid product to offer within the audio marketplace, but it certainly doesn't appear to be authentic NOS Western Electric wire.

A long time ago I saw real Western E. wire, I have no idea when it was made, probably in the '30s. It was this color but much more muted. It was outstanding sounding on old tube electronics. Were I to have a roll of 30' of that wire, one I would not sell it and two, were I too I would ask $10,000.
$59 is not much to waste for what is probably a Chinese ripoff, so maybe you will like it. It probably is the same wire you would buy at Home Depot but in different packaging.
I love to play with wires, and the W.E. is just plain old "stuff."
For even more fun, buy a run of the cloth covered 'heater wire' at Home Depot and be amazed how bad a piece of copper can sound. It makes for a useful reference to use when people tell you wires all sound the same.
Radio Shack's magnet wire is also a fun toy, you can make it sound good and play with what you wrap it in, etc.
So, for this guy's Ebay wire, take a pass and start locally.
Oh! The Walmart extension cord trick is fun, as well, and sounds pretty good.

I you want to buy really old scrap wire someone found laying around, and discovered (again) that audiophile are the biggest suckers for a crazy story, be my guest.
I have no problem with anyone using whatever junk they want. But at least it should be straight up just buy any old scrap and proclaim it's a great marvel. At least then YOU can make the big profit, instead of some other dude.
I'm not convinced.
...with a variety of GE wire. He says some of the old GE wire is bad and he has cherry-picked rolls which he says sounds the best. His name is Ben. Nice guy. Lives in Pennsylvania. Contact him for more info.
